Questions and Answers
Who will I be rooming with?
Students will be in a double Queen room and have been pre-assigned a roommate (two students per room). Upon arrival at the hotel you will be issued with a key card. You will have approximately one hour to settle in, place your bags in your room, and switch rooms and/or roommates, should you wish to do so.
If you change rooms you will notify a member of staff when you gather for dinner (6:00 p.m.), and your key card will be updated accordingly. You will be asked for your new room number, please make a note of it.
A single King room has been reserved for each faculty and staff attendee.
What do I need to bring?
Pack light! You will not need anything other than a change of clothes, toiletries, and a water bottle. All of the Posse Plus Retreat activities will occur on-site at the hotel.
Where do I need to be and when?
You need to be outside of Cordiner Hall at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, February 13th. This is the most important date/time for you to be aware of. Once everyone is on the bus and has taken the 1-hour trip to Richland, you will disembark at the Richland Riverfront Hotel and Posse staff will take it from there… For the full retreat schedule, please see the Schedule page.
What kind of food are we having? Will there be snacks?
Yes, there will be snacks! Each attendee will receive a Whitman PPR “snack pack” and there are also items available for purchase in the hotel lobby. For meals, please see menus on our Meals page.
Any specific dietary requests? We should have received those when you RSVP’d, but please feel free to reach out to Natasha Blake, Executive Assistant to the Vice President for Inclusive Excellence (blakena@whitman.edu) with any questions or updates. Happy to accommodate you!
